The Rigel system is the
primary trading center between Sirius and Emerald. While not technically
in the Evochron system (being just outside the lower Federation border),
it remains free of Federation regulation, so many mercenaries from Emerald
enjoy travelling to Rigel for tax free trade with local companies and
other mercenaries from Sirius. Rigel is fiercely independent and does not
identify itself as an Alliance territory or a Federation territory, so
stations and planets here often charges docking fees and other fines to
any outside mercenary regardless of where they came from. Most mercenaries
agree that the minor cost in fees is easily offset by the higher market
values found here. |
